Congratulations to Faye and Chris who were married at Blake Hall on 18th September 2014.

They had a striking pewter/silver and orange wedding theme for their wedding and this was strongly reflected in their wedding cake. The base tier was coloured and given a shimmer effect to match the bridesmaid pewter coloured dresses and was then enhanced with silver dragees set around the base to make the cake really shine. The middle tier featured ruffled flowers with occasional silver centers and the top tier featured a simple ribbon bow in their orange colour. The cake was topped with a lovely cake topper by Feats in Clay. The cake was a 5" chocolate orange sponge, 7" cherry and coconut sponge and 9" lemon sponge.

As you had done 2 of our friends weddings we knew the look of the cake and of course the quality of sponges would be perfect. We kept changing our minds about what we wanted, but had something in mind. It wasn't until we came to meet with you and showed you a picture we could imagine the finished picture-slate grey and orange themed cakes aren't easy to come by!! But your imagination and enthusiasm made it really work and we were just thrilled with the finished design. Flavours wise...amazing, perfect, tasty..the whole cake was very classy and we were quite proud to say what we had going on flavours wise too! At no point were we worried about anything and seeing you setting up the cake on the day was one of the things I was most excited about. You were lovely to set the topper up for us as well, and the colours matched the theme perfectly as the shades were very specific. we'd have no doubt in recommending you, and your excitement and enthusiasm for your work really made it a lovely experience. Thank you!!
