Kelly and Rob were married on a sunny day in September at the recently opened Apton Hall. They'd liked elements from several different cakes, with Rob liking ruffles he'd seen on fully iced wedding cakes, whilst Kelly loved the informal semi-naked look with loads of butter-icing filling. So we worked together on creating a cake that gave them both everything they wanted. Apton's traditional red brick barn conversion, main reception room, was the perfect setting for their cake which featured hessian flower accents over an ivory butter icing base. Kelly and Rob's guests enjoyed wedding cake in strawberries and champagne, red velvet and salted caramel.
